Fendt has announced an upgrade to its popular 300 Vario mid-range tractors. Leading the upgrade are new engines, a new panoramic view cab and a stylish new design, all keeping with the German manufacturers reputation for producing premium standards of quality.

Powerful and efficient – engine & transmission
The new Fendt 300 Vario boasts high torque and more pulling power with maximum output of 110 to 138 horsepower across four models. At the heart of the tractor is a 4.4 litre, 4-cylinder AGCO Power engine with a common rail high-pressure fuel injection system and an electronically controlled wastegate turbocharger. Stage 4/Tier 4 final emissions standards are also achieved with the new engines through a diesel oxidation catalyst and an externally cooled exhaust gas recirculation system. Furthermore the SCR exhaust after-treatment takes place after the combustion process enabling an efficient compliance of the latest emission standards.

All engine servicing points are easy to access for optimum maintenance and large fuel tank capacities of 210 litres of diesel and 22 litres of AdBlue, allow operators to work many hours without having to stop to refuel.

The Vario transmission has proven itself over many years through its high efficiency, ease of operation and reliability. The Tractor Management System (TMS) coordinates the transmission and the engine speed, always keeping the tractor driving at optimum economy, resulting in low fuel consumption.

New Panoramic VisioPlus cab
A new large and comfortable working environment is now provided for the operator with the new VisioPlus cab. A uniquely designed windscreen curves up to the roof offering a 77° field of vision and 6.2 m2 of windows, providing outstanding all-round visibility. Furthermore, the B-Pillar post found on the right side in previous models has now been removed adding to the increased visibility of the panoramic cab.

Night visibility has also been improved with the installation of roof mounted bi-directional work lights, while additional work lights can also be installed at the front, rear and on the mudguards. There is also an LED option available.

Adding further comfort for the operator, the steering wheel is now coupled with the dash for simultaneous movement and adjustment ensuring the perfect view of the display. For a smoother ride, mechanical front suspension is standard on Profi models and an option on Power models. A new ventilation and climate control system ensures the most comfortable surroundings: the air is uniformly distributed in the cab, it has automatic defrosting to clear windows fast and the air-conditioning and heating can be controlled precisely using just one centralised, conveniently located control. A new large 7-inch Vario terminal is now standard for easy and quick operation.

Technology for efficient work – power lift and hydraulics
The new 300 Vario features high flow hydraulics for implements with a high oil requirement, such as front loader operations, allowing work to be performed at a lower engine speed for reduced fuel usage.

The newly designed “waisted” chassis provides a seamless attachment of the front linkage and front loader consoles, as well as optimizing the steering angle for significantly improved manoeuvrability. The front lower links do not need to be removed when performing front loader work, since the lower links can be folded up diagonally. This robust and compact design enables the front linkage to achieve a lift capacity of 3190kg. The Fendt 300 Vario Profi models have external controls for the front linkage; weights and implements are now mounted easily.

Fendt CargoProfi loader
For added productivity and safety, the CargoProfi loader can be operated using the Variotronic operating interface, allowing operators to pre-set a maximum working height and tilt angle. The CargoProfi loader also has an integrated weighing and shake function. Speed-dependent damping enhances comfort and minimises losses.
